GRIEVANCE POLICY/ PROCEDURE
Students are expected to address any disagreements, conflicts, or possible records in student records directly with the individual involved, in person, and with a written document outlining the complaint and communication. After this, if there is no satisfactory resolution, the student may set an appointment to see the school’s director. All communications regarding the complaint must be in writing, and all meetings and communications will be documented in the student files. The grievance policy is as follows:
Complaints regarding students or Blessed Hands Barber Academy staff must be made within one week of the issue. If the complaint cannot be resolved informally (verbally), the student shall write up the details and submit them to the school director (within 30 days of the incident), who will investigate the issue and provide a resolution. Please allow the school director up to 10 business days to respond to written complaints in writing. If such a response is unsatisfactory, the student may contact the Arizona State Barber and Cosmetology Board, 1740 W Adams St, Phoenix, Arizona 85007, (602) 542-4498. Blessed Hands Barber Academy does not require a student to exercise or exhaust his or her rights under the school’s grievance procedure before filing a complaint with NACCAS or another regulatory body if such a requirement violates applicable laws or regulations.
